Includes:
Pick up and drop off at your hotel in the San Juan area, use of technical equipment, puertorican lunch at the community with excellent personalized service.
What to Bring:
Daypack, water, camera, close-toed shoes that can get wet (old sneakers are best), comfortable hiking clothes that can get wet (a bathing suit underneath is not a bad idea), a towel and change of dry clothes to leave in the van. From December to April we recommend to bring a wind breaker or wet shirt.

MUCARO RIVER & ZIPLINE RAINFOREST 1/2 DAY ADVENTURE
Witness a place where rivers are born...
Only a handful of places close to the Metropolitan Area have all the right components for total submersion in nature. Acampa’s Mucaro Rainforest and zip line adventure gives you the full nature experience in just half the time.
Mucaro is a private land located just 40 minutes from San Juan. Perched on the mountains on the edge of the Carite National rainforest, it is home to the birth of Rio Grande de Loiza, Puerto Rico’s largest river.
Upon your arrival to the property, you will be given your equipment and briefing. The adventure begins by trekking upriver through boulders, waterfalls, and lush native flora. We will then continue our ascent by immersing ourselves in “Jollas”, which are steep and winding rock gullies where rainwater intermittently flows to feed the river below. After reaching the top, you will continue through the forest alternating between 4 incredible zip lines under the canopy, hiking, rappelling and “jolla” climbing, as you witness the ever-changing nature of an environment with severe rainfall. You also will be sharing the forest with a myriad of native birds, whose chants and occasional fly by accompany the group along the way.
