Founded in 1998, by Raymond Sepulveda, Acampa is a locally owned outdoor gear store built for Puerto Rico’s hikers, campers, and travelers. Created by a passionate member of the island’s camping community, Acampa began with a simple goal: make high-quality outdoor equipment accessible in Puerto Rico. At the time, adventurers often had to order essential gear from outside the island. Acampa changed that by creating a local destination for reliable, professional-grade outdoor gear.
Today, Acampa offers a carefully curated selection of trusted brands for camping, hiking, trekking, backpacking, travel, climbing, scouting, survival, and emergency preparedness. Every product is chosen for its durability and performance in demanding outdoor conditions.
Our mission is to help people explore Puerto Rico’s mountains, forests, and coastlines with greater safety, comfort, and confidence. Beyond gear, Acampa is known for knowledgeable service—helping customers choose the right equipment for everything from weekend camping trips to international expeditions.
Rooted in Puerto Rico’s outdoor culture, Acampa proudly supports the island’s growing adventure community. With the opening of our Aguadilla store in 2025, we expanded access to specialized outdoor gear and local expertise for adventurers across the West region.
